CKDCF History

Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery

The Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children’s Fund (CKDCF) was formed in 2002 by founding member Francis Dunnery.  The charity was created in honour of both his parents, Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery, with the sole aim of raising funds for children’s health, wellness and educational needs in and around his hometown of Egremont, Cumbria.

Since its inception in 2002, The Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children’s Fund has raised over £300,000.  Charity donations have been used to purchase hospital beds and entertainment units for children’s oncology wards; construct libraries; build gardens; purchase educational supplies for local schools in Cumbria… and much, much more.
