A EGREMONT teenager who is undergoing treatment after she was diagnosed with three brain tumours has received a charitable donation.

Danica Maxwell, 14, is soon to have chemotherapy following the discovery of the tumours.

Accompanied by her family, Danica received £300 from the Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children’s Fund – a charity set up by Egremont-born rock star Francis Dunnery in memory of his parents.

The money, which was presented by CKDCF’s fundraiser Mark Andrews and his children, will help the Maxwell family while Danica is being treated at Newcastle Hospital.
