The Peter Watson ‘Joy in the Rain’ Sponsored Walk around Loweswater
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2017 – 10:00
Please join us at 10:00 am for sign-in and a group picture before we set off on the 6km walk around Loweswater. Parking is available along the road adjacent to Loweswater (by the phone box).
We would encourage car-sharing where possible in order to limit traffic, preserve parking spaces and reduce our environmental impact.
**PLEASE NOTE: Food will not be available this year. We encourage you to have breakfast before arriving.**
All participants should bring their Official Sponsorship Forms to event registration. Please download your Official CKDCF Sponsored Walk Form here. Alternatively, you can register your fundraising efforts on JustGiving.
Important Note: Although we do not anticipate problems for young children and the handicapped on this shorter walking route, it is possible to walk the first half or part of the walk and then turn back to the Maggie’s Bridge car park (click here for this route). As parts of the walk take you on to the road, we would urge you to take caution and keep to the right. Please dress in warm waterproof layers for this event which may include sturdy hiking boots or shoes, a winter hat, winter gloves, waterproof jacket and pants and warm socks! First aiders will be on hand.
